According to Reuters, the Tron (TRX) network has become the preferred cryptocurrency transfer network for groups designated as terrorist organizations in Israel, the United States and other countries.

Reuters, which interviewed seven financial crime experts and blockchain research experts, stated that Tron has surpassed Bitcoin.

At this point, experts said that Tron is faster and cheaper than its major rival Bitcoin, and that it has surpassed its rival BTC as a platform for crypto transfers associated with groups defined as terrorist organizations by Israel, the USA and other countries.

Mriganka Pattnaik, CEO of New York-based blockchain analysis firm Merkle Science, stated that terrorist organizations are increasingly choosing Tron over Bitcoin and said:

“The recent shift from BTC to Tron has been remarkable. We attribute this shift to Tron’s faster transaction times, lower fees, and increased stability.”

The Reuters news recently stated that the Israeli National Counterterrorism Financing Bureau (NBCTF), which is responsible for terrorist-related cryptocurrency seizures, froze 143 Tron wallets between July 2021 and October 2023.

It was stated that at this point, it was determined that the frozen wallets were linked to an organization “designated as a terrorist organization” or were used for “serious terrorist crimes”.

The news stated that Israel detected 87 Tron wallets linked to terrorism in 2023, and pointed out that 56 wallets were linked to Hamas.

46 of these 56 wallets belong to Dubai Co. He was found to be linked to a Gaza-based money exchange company called For Exchange.

Finally, as is known, Reuters has made negative news about Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, many times before. At this point, the latest Tron news comes to mind: “Is Tron next after Binance?” brought the question.
